Day Twelve: Times Square at Night

That Thursday I didn't do much during the day. Tuesdays and Thursdays I don't do much because I have class pretty much throughout the day so I don't go far. However, for my Internet Design class we had a substitute because our professor couldn't make it. Our substitute ended up letting us out about an hour early. These two girls and I decided to go somewhere because we had time before our curfew. We decided on going to Times Square because I hadn't seen it at night. We took the subway there and when you get there, it's very lit up.

Times Square looks completely different during the day than at night. I will say I could never live in Times Square. It is way to busy with people.
There are so many people there because it's one of the places many tourists go to see. It was really nice though. You couldn't really tell it was night because of all the lights around you. I saw more superheroes than the last time I saw it. Batman probably looked the most real though.
We took a picture at the staircase that's located in the middle of everything. The girl on the left is Annie and the other girl is Sachi.
We then went to the Hershey's store.
It was kind of small but pretty cool.
You could smell chocolate once you walked in and they give you a Hershey's kiss at the entrance. After that we went across the street to the M&M store.
It was huge. Three floors of M&M merchandise. It was a pretty cool store. After that we went to a pizza place and then went back to our dorms.
I had a good day. I was able to see something different.

Day Eleven: Free Cupcake

That Wednesday I didn't much except walk around. I didn't take any pictures. I did get a free cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake. If you follow them on twitter, every morning they tweet their secret flavor which they won't sell that day. If you are one of the first 100 to ask for that specific flavor they give it to you for free.
It's not the best picture but I didn't eat it till I got home and they give it to you in a bag so it gets messy. That particularly week though, they just released their own app in the App Store and made little iPhones out of fondant which went on their secret flavored cupcakes only.
That was pretty much my day. It was a good day.

Day Ten: Rain

So the weather forecast here usually is pretty close. However, you might doubt it. During the day, it was completely sunny with no rain clouds around. That day I went up to the 9th floor at the Kimmel Center because I heard it was a nice place to study and the view was amazing. The view awesome. You can't see too much here but you see Washington Square Park along with the Empire State Building in the back. It's really nice.
After that I went to my economics class and then waited around till my Internet Design class. At that point the rain clouds came. I had a jacket but with no hood. I walked to class and it was drizzling so I got a little wet by the time I got to class. I realized you need an umbrella when it rains since you walk everywhere and a jacket won't do. I decided I would get one. During our break, I took some pictures of my view from class. It was really nice.
That building in the clouds is the Empire State Building. After class was over, I took another because it was different at night.
We got out a little early so I was able to go to the NYU Bookstore to buy an umbrella before they closed. It was raining and my jacket wouldn't have done me any good. I decided on walking around Washington Square Park to see how it looked at night with rain and it was very calming.
Nobody was there unless they were walking through.
The building in the back of this picture is the Freedom Tower (World Trade Center). It was neat to see these tall buildings in the clouds. I went home afterwards.
So I had a good day. I got to experience rain in New York and it was nice.

Here are some other pictures:
