Day Eight: Church

So weeks before I left to New York, I had been anticipating to visit the Hillsong Church there. If you don't know who they are, they have one of the biggest and well-known Christian bands across the world. Their home church is in Australia and they have one here in the city. The pastor here is Carl Lentz. They have 5 services: 10, 12:30, 3, 5 and 8.  I ended up attending the 3 o'clock service. I walked there and it is located at the Manhattan Center. They rent out the Grand Ballroom every Sunday for church.
I remember going up the elelvator and they took me to the balcony because the floor was full. I met some other lady and it was her first time as well. I had got there a little bit late so they were already doing praise and worship but it was amazing praise and worship.
They were singing some of their songs from their newest album called No Other Name.
I honestly don't remember the message that day but I think it was because I was still in awe. I just remember feeling the Holy Spirit there and it was amazing how all of these Christians gathered there in this huge city. The place was full. I was amazed and it felt surreal. It made me feel somewhat like at home. I guess after being overwhelmed with seeing the city for the first time that whole week, I was able to go to church which was normal. I enjoyed that day. It was refreshing. After church, I walked back to my dorm. I didn't really do anything else that day except for homework.
So I had a good Sunday and I was thankful God allowed me to still be able to go to church whole being here. I really didn't take pictures except that one.
