Day Six: New York Philharmonic
On Fridays I have no class so we are able to do whatever want to. Each week each floor will do something together with our P.A.s and that week we chose to go to Georgetown Cupcake. I got a red velvet and it was the best cupcake I've ever has. Afterwards we went to Washington Square Park to just hang out and talk. It was fun. Later on I went to Central Park. Each week we can sign up for events that they host. For that day, I signed up to go see the New York Philharmonic in Central Park. It was really neat. There was a bunch of people there and it was very crowded but we managed. Everybody that is used to it come prepared bringing a whole picnic. The philharmonic started and everyone had gotten quiet. Since there are so many people we were far from the stage so you could barely see them but you could hear them. The music was really nice. Very comforting. A group next to us let us borrow a blanket because their other group of friends didn't show up. At one point I layed on my back and just stared into the sky. I thought about how I actually am in New York and I thank God for that. When you're in Central Park you cannot see many buildings at all and you can forget you're there. It was really nice. After they played, they had about a 5-min firework show. We went home and that was it. I had a good day.
