Day Three: Wall Street

I was able to sleep in Tuesday. I slept till about 10 because I was achy from walking to Times Square on Monday. Class didn't start until 2 and I had plenty of time so I decided to get brunch and head to Wall Street and the financial district. 

It was about 2 miles out but felt cooler so it wasn't as bad as my walk to Times Square. As I was walking towards Wall Street, I was able to see the new World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower, and the 9/11 memorial. To start, the Freedom Tower is absolutely stunning not to mention it is now the tallest building again in the city with a height of 1776ft. (Signing date of the Declaration of Independence)

The windows make the building look almost like a mirror reflecting the sky. It is very tall and magnificent. After that i found the 9/11 memorial.

It is breathtaking. It makes you stop and just stare thinking about what used to be there. I couldn't imagine how terrifying it was when they fell. They had the names of all the people that had died during the event on the border of the memorial. It was one of the most memorable views i have seen. 

After that i continued walking deeper into financial district so i could find Wall Street. I found it a little while later.

I didn't realize how big Wall Street was. I saw the New York Stock Exchange and it was really cool.

For it being old, it was neat how it contrasted to the city. I then walked a little further to find the bull.

I didn't really get to see it all perfectly clear because a lot of people were around it taking pictures but i got the just of it. I finally decided to go back to my dorm because i was getting tired of walking. Luckily, I found out i just had to walk down one street which was Broadway to get back to my dorm. Thank God because I got a little confused getting there. I relaxed for a little and headed to my economics class. It was good. I'm not as lost as the first day. I had two hours after that class until my next one so i went to my dorm and took a nap. I got up a little later than i was expecting. Went to grab dinner and got lost finding my Internet Design class because it was my first day for that. I got there right at 6 but the professor wasn't there yet so it was fine. He came in and he is pretty chill. We mostly just talked during the class time introducing ourselves and letting him know what we know about internet design. He showed us what we will be able to do by the end of the program so it was pretty cool. I got out at 9 and went home. I was exhausted. 

So it was a good day. I'm getting a little behind keeping up with this because I've started getting busy with studying and homework but I will continue posting.
